i thought the set list was a bit odd at this show. i didn't quite "get" all the cover songs that were played. stevie wonder, lovin spoonful and encore songs by sly & the family stone. with a new album out and all of the original stuff by susan and derek, we could of done much better on the choice of the set list.
what was the deal here?

plus...there were to many solo's by the band. i am all in favor of showcasing the bands talent, but did we really need to hear solo's almost every song played by every member? if anyone shud of solo's, it ought to of been derek.

Here ya go.....http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=399829

I wasnt at this show but did check the set list and it looks like pretty much the same show they have been playing all along. Not sure what you didnt like but there have been alot of very satisfied fans (this one included) at the five shows I saw last year and sure to be at the one show I already have a ticket for (Red Rocks 8/30/2012)

Concur with bobo.
I had a more visceral reaction. Although I stayed for the whole show, I think if I’d had a bag of tomatoes I’d have been throwing them at the stage after the 1st 20 min. Whew… sorry, – just sooo disappointed.
Transplanted Queens, NY guy who on initially fell in love with Ms. Tedeschi after hearing a few cuts from Just Won’t Burn on local NYC public radio, and then hearing some more switching stations on a car trip to Boston (1999), I’ve been proselytizing her talent ever since, and couldn’t wait to get a chance to hear that voice, live; and here in Columbus.
SONGS, SUSAN, SONGS!!! For crying out loud! – few can communicate them the way you do.
Covers, I don’t mind so much (e.g. Angel from Montgomery -Prine), and I absolutely love Darling Be Home Soon – Sebastian. What “great relief” it would have been to have it end gracefully with Susan singing that last lyric “having you to talk to.” But No! A few whale noises on the guitar had to set off another mindless jam.
In fact, her singing and the songs, for the most part, were simply used as “the head” for self indulgent jams.
Don’t let me be misunderstood: the musicianship in this band is very good. But the presentation was woefully not concise. If you’re really into jazz, or into funk, look elsewhere. If you also appreciate (with a passion) songwriting, and singers that are able to reach right into your heart, pray that Ms. Tedeschi will “tighten” up the show. –Oh, and by the way… the fella in the opening act trio (who sang harmonies in her show)… take a tip from him! – Songs, performed without obscuring the talent of the players, that were put over simply, and beautifully.

Appreciate ur comments. I was beginning to think it was just me!

Where can I find the set list from the Columbus, Ohio 03/29/2012 show????
