Doesn't matter what I'm doin' when I hear 'Midnight in Harlem' I have to stop and listen to Susan, Derek and the rest of the guys. Its the most beautiful melody I've heard in a long time. Hope it's included on the live album.
Thank you for asking for suggestions regarding a live album. I spent time reading quite a few of the posts and there are so many good choices! It will be fun to vote on that list when that opportunity arrives. I also realized when reading so many of the posted requests that there were a huge number of people who have seen you on this current tour more than once, myself included, at Toledo and Louisville.
And so many of the posts suggest that a double album or cd is the only way to represent what you have been playing from Revelator and covers in your past shows. I totally agree, and my request is that you please consider that seriously and at least make the recording the length of your sets if not longer.
Thanks again, and I look forward to Cincy and am proud to share that you will be my first Ryman concert!!!
"Learn How to Love" really has great flavour...very claptonesque true grit reminisent of many other live recordings that just have that great LIVE feeling!!! In the end, the bands soul will surely shine through regardless of the selections...Keep Up the Great Work!!!!!! a
I've always loved your performances of both "Tell the Truth" and "Anyday" from the Derek and the Dominoe's sessions,..yer performances of those tunes are just so damn killer! Thanks!!
I lovvvvve the "moses/water" song...sorry i don't know the real name, but it blew me away when you opened with it in rochester ny. we came to the show the very same nite my dear grandfather passed away (he would've insisted , and it was sooo incredible. LOVE the "anyday" old school clapton--do you do "please be with me"?? if not, you absolutely should. just thinking of you guys doing that one gives me the g-bumps. you so f'in rock!!!
