you sent me the email, so here's my responce: whatever you want! the 5 shows i saw were amazing, you get better and better each time out,the growth of the band has been stunning!where do i send my check for the pre order?look forward to 2012 and more amazing peformances.....enjoy today!
I highly recommend that "Darling Be Home Soon" from the 10/28/11 Warner Theatre Washington, DC show be included in the new live CD. This is a song that you do not hear very much today and your version was so beautiful. I think your fans would be very happy that this was included. Thanks for your consideration of this request.
By the way, I was very fortunate to see you three times in 3 months at the Hot August Blues Fest, Beacon Theatre and the Warner Theatre. Enjoyed seeing you at the Old Ebbitt Grill in DC before the show. What a wonderful band you put together!
PLEASE CONSIDER "LEARN HOW TO LOVE' , 'SHELTER' and "KEY TO THE HIGHWAY" TTB IS MY FAVORITE BAND. KEEP ON RAWKIN.
I AM 62 AND NOT TO OLD TO ROCK & ROLL. I GO TO WARREN HAYNES X-MAS JAM (9 YEARS RUNNING) AND WANEE (4 YRS RUNNING). LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN APRIL.
DEREK GAVE ME HIS SLIDE IN SPARTANBURG. IT IS ONE OF MY MOST PRISED POSESSIONS.
There needs to be a version of Stevie Wonder's "Uptight(Everthing's Alright)"! This version with the instrumental breakdowns are killer, heard like never before. What other band can extend out this song like TTB, incredible. It will be a main staple for all house parties when the timing is right!
Also, "Darling Be Home Soon", is a souful, moving rendition sung by Susan with righteousness and conviction, with Derek's haunting solos right behind her. CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM!
"Midnight In Harlem" and "These Walls"!!! I would also love to see what Derek would do with Susan's "Feeling That Music Brings" live if they played it on tour!!! Unfortunately I couldn't make to the live shows. And definitely make it a double CD!!!
Come See About Me
Learning to Live Together (from Crossroads 2010)
Superstition (Stevie Wonder)
Anyday (from Crossroads 2006?) Every time I listen to this song it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and shivers run down my spine.
In order of the amount that I would love to hear the song
1: Nobody's Free, Darling Be Home Soon (these two songs just have amazing feels. The recent addition of Oteil's bass line going up to the A during the verse before the guitar solo gives Nobody's Free a beautiful lift.)
2: Love Has Something Else To Say (The live versions of this song SLAY. Saunder's trombone playing is fantastic, and a version with him sangin would be the cherry on top)
3: Wade In The Water, Sly Stone Medley, Uptight, Bound For Glory
Required: Kofi flute solo (and killer keyboard solo), Oteil bass solo
I would love at least one slideless crazy one-chord building from quiet to maniacal Derek Trucks solo, because it's just always so good. There's an extended and completely different vocabulary from his slide playing which I personally believe should be documented on record more.
IDEA: If there was a second "disc" that you could buy online, that would be fantastic, and I'm sure you would get many sales. That way you don't have to make it a 2 cd set, but greedy fans like me who want more than one CD worth of TTB live can get our fix. Because you're going to have to make sacrifices on material that everybody loves if it's only one disc.
I accidentally double-posted. I apologize.
Wade In The Water!
Well, as many others will agree... it doesn't matter. I'm buying it... but... since you're kind enough to ask (thank you)...
Seeing as the two members above suggested covers, I'll stick with the theme and say that the band's version of Space Captain is the best I've heard and it should certainly be included... not to mention it's been a show staple for some time relative to the others mentioned.
As far as album songs, Midnight in Harlem and either (or both) Come See About Me and Bound for Glory seem like obvious choices; Learn How To Love would add some heat to the collection for sure...
... and that scat/bass thing Oteil does absolutely NEEDS to be on there... perhaps as a hidden track???
I only went to two shows during October, but the emotional feeling of every song from the DC show at the Warner Theatre was on another level.. lots of energy.
Thanks again!
That Did It -Bobby Bland cover was outstanding at Minneapolis Zoo --- Sing a Simple Song and Manic Depression
Delaney & Bonnie's "Comin' Home" is an absolute must!!!
I'd love to hear "Shelter" live.
"Nobody's Free" has to be included. To be sure I love the TTB but during the instrumental phase of "NF" I momentarily flashback to the beloved days of The DTB. Derek's Zen improvs during this tune help me soar.
Must have Until You Remember...that is a no brainer....be fun to have the Sly Stone Medley you all rocked...or even I've Got a Feeling. Oh Harlem Too. But PLEASE until you remember. Great Great song
How about"midnight in harlem",I just love that song and i think it's one of your best songs.
I was not able to follow the TTB across the United States this fall - would have liked to - but I was in Bonn this summer, and so greatly impressed with, well, the whole performance, but for the live album I would especially like (in order of desirability):
1. That did it (Bobby Bland)
2. A simple song (Sly & the Family Stone)
3. Love has something else to say
As many mention, I will buy it regardless. But I sure would love "That did it".
Highlighting Oteil's scat solo is also a good idea.
In order of preference:
Sing a Simple Song>I Want to Take You Higher
Coming Home
Anyday
Space Captain
That Did It
Anything off the Revelator album
After I saw TTB live before the release of Revelator I was hoping "Sing A Simple Song" would be on the new CD. PLEASE include "Sing A Simple Song".
Sing a simple song PLEASE!!!
Gotta agree with the Sing a Simple Song/(I Want to Take You) Higher from the Beacon Theater show. Brought a friend I hadn't seen in over 20+ years, one of the last shows we went to was seeing the Allman Brothers with Delbert McClinton as the warm-up, That night Belushi cartwheeled onto the stage and did Hey Bartender with the ABB - 4/79. I hadn't boogied in the isles like I did at the Beacon show since... probably sometime in 1979!
As for the studio release gotta go with the first 3 tracks!
1. Come See About Me
2. Don't Let Me Slide
3. Midnight In Harlem
I would love to hear Mike Mattison sing "Georgia On My Mind" in the style of The Band but with TTB's rootsy swampy, baby-makin vibe! PLEASE do that song! Susan jumping in on the second verse would be orgasmic!
Check out the link below and tell me you wouldn't love a Trembling Derek Trucks solo over that beauty!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KM_ZqESUuFU
All my Friends by Cowboy would be great!!!!
That one's been done by the band real nice!!!
PLEASE CONSIDER "LEARN HOW TO LOVE' , 'SHELTER' and "KEY TO THE HIGHWAY" TTB IS MY FAVORITE BAND. KEEP ON RAWKIN.

Space Captain cover. I didnt hear it at the October show I caught so don't know if eligible but the version from Sweltering of the Vibes in July was just terrific. Worth putting up with 106 degree temps. This band would be awesome on any of that Mad Dogs and Englishmen material.
I was at the Burlington, VT show in October....
Loved "Everybody's Talkin'"...So much I downloaded the original and played it for weeks!
Also LOVED Susan's "That Did It."
Standing O in the middle of a concert? Come on! THAT song belongs on a new album!
Thanks for letting us give input,
Mark

Standing O in the middle of a show? Seriously? THAT song was a show stopper and should definitely be on a live album.
Thanks for asking for input,

Dreams > You do a wonderful cover of the song!
I attended the show at NJPAC in Newark, NJ - my suggestion is Darling Be Home Soon.
From the Seattle show:
Anyday
Also, can't recall the second number, but it was a real barn burner that left Derek grinning ear to ear. Go with that one!
My 2 cents:
from 10/29/11
Darling Be Home Soon
Simple Things
Stand Back
Most of the songs from the Fillmore Webcast seemed way more stretched out than usual and merit consideration as well.
Also, although the email indicates you were only recording fall tour 2011, I commend to your attention Standing on the Edge of Love and Butterfly from Red Bank NJ 7-9-2010. The Standing rocked way harder and longer than any other effort at that song I heard.
No doubt about it,Darling Be Home Soon has to be included.I am sure any time it was done would be fine. NJPAC in October was a GREAT version.Look forward to the album.
Please , " So close , so far away " on new live album and DVD !!!!!
anything from the Rochester, NY show...
Two come to mind for me: Delaney and Bonnie's Coming Home (assuming you did that at a show on the tour you're picking from) and the Soul Serenade you did in CT on the 40th anniversary of Duane's passing. That was absolutely spine-tingling, and would bring the whole "family" aspect full circle. Thanks...and looking forward to some New England shows soon!
Wade in the Water--10/28/11 Warner Theatre--mesmerizing.
Sing a Simple Song>I Want to Take You Higher
Were all the concerts recorded? If so it'd be great to have the song that Warren Haynes strolled on to do with the band during the concert at the Enmore Theatre here in Sydney, Australia. Great moment.
I don't know the name of the song unfortunately... but please include the one where all of the singers sang in unison from high to low several times. (I think it even ended with that progression.) Very unusual. Very cool.
thank you.

I saw the band in London - it was a completely amazing show. The jaw dropper for me was the cover of Just Kiss My Baby by The Meters. I love that song also because of the guest performance of Lowell George of Little Feat on that cut. Was so glad to hear Derek tackle that groove. Not sure if you have a good take of that but it certainly made my night. Great to have a new TTB on the way. Have listened to nothing else but Bound for Glory since it came out - like a classic record from the seventies each time I listen to it I discover something else in the music.
First things first, anything you do live is gold. Best live band I have ever seen! Having said that, I don't know if you recorded this in October, but I've seen Beatle songs you've done live on Youtube (I've got a Feeling, Hey Jude) I would love to see that on a live album. Never the less, you guys have the formula.......I can not get enough of Tedeschi Trucks Band!!!! Keep it up.
Thanks for asking,
Allan
It has to be a double album....That is all there is to it!!!! Don't doubt me on that. All will agree.
Any Day, I saw them do it at the Crossroads festival and it was amazing.
Doesn't anyone want to vote for Ray Charles?
If my memory serves me, at the Beacon they did a very fine version of The Night Time Is The Right Time. Please put that on the Cd. Much as I love the Mad Dogs and Englishmen meets Delaney And Bonnie material so many are voting for, go for originality for the cd. This one is a classic .
How about a DOUBLE album release so all your greats can make the cut (or not be cut..) I dig all the set lists from this past year. Thanks TTB!
You guys rock on "Little by Little" and "Coming Home", I would also like to see a rendition of "Gonna Leave" with Susan and Mike doing the vocals.
Keep on making me tap my foot, y'all!
Digger~
Please please please please please please please include a version of 'Too Late', it's one of my favourites of yours but I've never been able to hear a good quality recording of it. Can't wait for the album! Will it be on vinyl too?

That ought to just about fill a fantastic double live album. Make sure not to chop out the improv. solos. I love hearing Derek, Susan, Oteil, Kofi & the horn section all cutting loose and stretching it out.
The Wichita, Ks. show was absolutely great!!!
I would also like to see more material brought forward from Susan and Derek's solo work prior to TTB. There is a lot of great material there!
Mort
also from toronto show Sing a simple Song->Higher and Nobody's Free, That did it. Can't wait for the release!
